The 2023–24 academic year Hohai University | Chinese Government Scholarship for Master's and Doctoral Programs in China is now accepting applications. CSC Scholarships provide a variety of scholarships to students from every corner of the world at China. Mandarin Chinses or English will be utilized as the languages of instruction according to the program you are pursuing at HHU. Chinese schools in a few provinces or autonomous regions can use the Chinese Scholarship Program, a complete scholarship program, to help them find exceptional foreign candidates for graduate study in China.

General Criteria:
- Applicants must be citizen of any country except China.
- Have a good health condition
- Applicants are going to apply for a master's degree, you must be graduated from bachelor's degree.
- In applying for a doctorate, you must have a master's degree.
- The age limit for Master's Degree programs are 35 years old and applicants must not be older then 35 years old.
- PhD candidate have to be under the age of 40.
- HSK Level-5 is required for applicants who wish to study Chinese thought Programs.
- If you are applying for an English thought program, you must know English or have evidence of English language proficiency.
English Language Requirements: To be admitted, you only need to have an English language certificate proving that you have completed a full course in the language. Because there will be an evaluation interview to be evaluated the English Level.
- The requirement to submit an English Certificate is eliminated for those who last finished their studies in English.
- If English is your mother tongue, you are excused from producing an English certificate.
Required Documents: all documents are required in English or Chinese Languages and if in case the documents are in other language, all of them must be translated and notarized by official notary.
- Chinese Government Scholarship Employment Application Form or CSC Application Form (Link is provided at the end)
- Diploma from last Degree.
- Academic Transcripts from last Degree.
- Passport photocopy. The information page must be scanned and given to the institution. The expiration date of the passport should not be till August 2024. If your passport is due to expire, you must renew it; if you are unable to do so for any reason, you must produce official documents that exactly match the data in your passport.
- Proof of English Language.
- Two Letter of recommendations.
- Study Plan. ( The work experiences, future plan, academic achievements and plan during study should be included at the study plan).
- Curriculum Vitae.
- If applicants have any study records or work records in China, the info should be added ( If have).
- Applicants must complete a physical examination form. All required medical examinations and tests should include bear the hospital's seal and the signature of the medical provider.The test is valid for 6 months and after the six-month validity period expires, the tests must be retaken.Sample can be downloaded here.
- A paper form criminal records is necessary and it must be provided by the officials of applicants own country. (If applicants are unable to prepare it, they may write and sign a non criminal statement).
- The Language Proficiency Certificates for Chinese Language or English Language (If have).

- Make an account at the CSC scholarship portal.
- Applicants must select Type B.
- Fill the required information on the Application portal.

- Upload all documents.
- Submit the filled online form and download the pdf format of information.
